Before
the operation my patients often ask me: “Doctor,
is an eye surgery an easy procedure?” And I always
get mixed feeling from this kind of questions. On the
one hand, it takes some 15 minutes and your vision is
restored, on the other hand there is great experience
of our predecessors, my own experience of almost 20
years, hi-tech equipment and precision instruments which
lie behind it.
I respond: “Yes,
it’s an easy one!” Since for my patients
an eye operation is really a few minutes without pain
and fear followed by world of clear images and colours!
But sometimes life poses much more difficult questions
when simple answers can’t be found. People often
come to me totally having lost their sight as well as
their last hope. And here comes the most important thing
to do – not to lose your heart and fight for every
ray of light.
